Editorial Wedding Photographer London - A Styled Shoot In The City

Imagine this, youā€™re a couple, deeply in love, seeking an intimate elopement amidst the London's skyline.

There's something undeniably appealing about the idea of eloping in one of the world's most iconic cities, against the backdrop of classic architecture, neutral tones and centuries of history. London, with its bustling streets and timeless charm, sets the stage for a romantic elopement like no other. And what better place to exchange vows than in the shadow of St. Paul's Cathedral, a symbol of resilience and beauty that has stood the test of time?

For this stylish editorial we started the day at HLD Studios, a space designed to ignite the imagination and fuel artistic expression, in other words, a photographers dream! The studio's sleek, modern design and Parisian - style balcony was the perfect setting for our first look.

Michaela wore the stunning dress from the Garden Whispers collection by Katya Katya London. This timeless, elegant dress paired with a sleek bun, glowing skin and a nude lip made for a sophisticated look, perfect for the Parisian-style balcony portraits.

It was then time for a quick change and to take full advantage of those sweeping steps at St. Paulā€™s Cathedral. The second look entailed a more urban style, something that was practical yet stylish. Joe dressed in a black tux, with an open tie to give a more relaxed feel to the shoot and Michaela wore a gorgeous sleek v neckline dress by BAE accompanied by a pearl handbag, ideal for embracing the cityā€™s cosmopolitan vibe.

Then if you thought it couldnā€™t get any better, the Reflection Garden is tucked just behind St. Paulā€™s, a unique spot which allows a mix of architectural beauty and natural elements as a backdrop for your wedding photos. So not only do you have the gorgeous city vibes, you also have a beautiful detailed garden to walk around giving you a moment to take it all in.

So here's to love, to adventure, and to the beauty of finding your own fairy tale in the heart of a bustling city!

A Beautiful Winter Wedding at Bruisyard Hall Suffolk

There is something truly magical about a wedding at Bruisyard Hall. Nestled in the heart of Suffolk's countryside, it is the perfect blend of historic charm and timeless elegance. Kim & Dan opted to get married in February, the month dedicated to love!

This got me thinking, if youā€™re beginning to plan your special day have you considered having a winter wedding?!

Believe it or not, Kim & Dan met 10 years ago in Kavos on a club 18-30 holiday (what a great story)! I think they will both admit that when they were packing their suitcases ready for that holiday, they were not expecting to find their soulmate. Fast forward 10 years and adding their beautiful little girl Evie into the mix, here they are celebrating their wedding day.

Embrace the beauty of a Winter Wedding!

A winter wedding can be a magical experience, but like any season there are a few key things to consider to ensure everything runs smoothly and that you make the most of the unique charm of the season.

Weather- Winter weather can be unpredictable (especially in the UK). Be prepared for snow, rain, or cold temperatures, and have contingency plans in place for any outdoor activities or transportation.

Venue- Choose a venue that can accommodate you both indoors and outdoors just in case the weather doesn't cooperate. Look for a venue with cosy indoor spaces, grand staircases, fireplaces, and beautiful winter scenery. Also have the ceremony and reception at the same place, travel will eat into your time, and you donā€™t want to arrive at your venue in the dark.

Lighting- With shorter days during the winter months, consider the lighting for both your ceremony and reception. Opt for venues with ample natural light during the day, and think about incorporating warm, soft lighting for the evening celebrations.

Ceremony time- Again, with the shorter days it is important to consider an early ceremony to make the most of the daylight. Ideally, 12pm-1pm (it does mean you will start the day early, but it will be worth it). You want to make the most out of the daylight for all your gorgeous photos.

Attire- Keep warmth in mind when choosing your wedding attire. Consider adding layers, shawls, or even a gorgeous sleeved dress. You can also opt for closed-toe shoes and thicker materiel to stay comfortable in colder temperatures. Also consider this for your bridesmaids too, they will thank you for it!

Guest Comfort- Make sure your guests are comfortable by providing amenities like blankets, heaters, or hot drinks during the reception. You may also want to consider transportation options especially if roads might be icy or snow-covered.

Menu- Warm and comforting food and drinks are perfect for a winter wedding. Consider serving hearty dishes like soups, roasts, and seasonal desserts. Don't forget to include festive cocktails and warm drinks like mulled wine to keep guestā€™s toasty.

Decor- Embrace the beauty of the season by incorporating winter-themed decor into your wedding. Think cosy touches like evergreen branches, fairy lights and candles (plenty of them).

With some planning and consideration, a winter wedding can be a truly magical and an unforgettable experience for you and your guests. Embrace the beauty of the season and celebrate your love in style, happy planning!

A Beautiful Suffolk Beach Engagement Shoot with Ethan & Beth

A dreamy engagement shoot gallery & a whole lot of fun!

Aside from a gallery of dreamy photos that youā€™ll not want to stop scrolling through, booking a coupleā€™s engagement session with me includes what I hope to be a laid-back experience for you that feels easy going and fun.

My top priority is making you feel comfortable. No couple is the same, and I completely understand that everyone will move at a different pace when it comes to having photos taken. So, one of my first questions to you will be ā€œhow comfortable are you in front of the camera?ā€

I can be as hands-on as you need / want me to be! Typically, Iā€™ll get an understanding within the first few minutes of how much direction each couple needs. My personal style consists of giving you prompts that flow into natural movements to get the best results possible in the most authentic and honest way.

The perfect location!

Weā€™re so lucky to live where we live, the East coast has such a variety of beautiful backdrops from the beaches, quaint seaside towns and woodland areas. If you are unsure, I can talk you through some suggestions but if there is a special place that means a lot to you tell me about it and weā€™ll go.

For Ethan & Bethā€™s shoot we chose Covehithe Beach which is one of Suffolkā€™s hidden gems. With its rugged cliffs, sweeping dunes, and stretches of golden sand, it's a captivating location for a coupleā€™s photoshoot (and one of my favourites).

Letā€™s document it!

So now you know what to expect, shall we go ahead and book this in? I would love to capture you both and have a fun and relaxed photo session.

If you would like to book your Norfolk or Suffolk engagement shoot, or talk about your wedding photography, please check out my Weddings page here or send me a message via my Contact Form, I canā€™t wait to chat!

Cambridge Wedding Photos: An Intimate, Romantic Elopement with Sam & Grace

Are you dreaming of having an elopement and saying ā€œI doā€ in a romantic city? Then this blog is just for you. Iā€™m bringing you a touch of urban chic with this gorgeous elopement shoot through the streets of Cambridge with some inspiration youā€™re going to want to save!

Cambridge is renowned for its rich history and stunning architecture, including the prestigious University of Cambridge colleges and picturesque bridges over the River Cam. The city's historic charm provides such a romantic backdrop making it the perfect place to elope.

For this high-end elopement, we began the shoot at the beautiful Rectory Farm Hotel situated in a glorious English garden, two miles from the city centre. Grace wore the insanely beautiful ā€˜Cameron Crepeā€™ dress by Made with Love Bridal, with Sam perfectly complimenting her in his black tux.

It was then time to showcase the romance and beauty of a Cambridge wedding by hitting the streets. Grace changed into the stunning ā€˜Pippaā€™ dress by Made with Love Bridal, the perfect fit for our elegant and modern shoot.

The afternoon was so relaxed, just as it should be on your wedding day. We roamed the streets, stopped for pizza, a favourite of theirs which just adds a touch of spontaneity and fun to the day, breaking away from traditional wedding rituals.

We didn't stop there; it was thirsty work and can you get anything more British than stopping for a pot of tea to end the day off! Sam and Grace fully embraced the cafe vibe and took some cheeky shots of their own with a polaroid!

I just love the unique charm of a city for wedding photos. Itā€™s always so exciting to shoot there as there is always something different happening.
